John Snyder, Jr.

John Gorman Snyder Jr. passed from this life and entered eternal rest on October 25, 2022. He was born on November 27, 1940, in Newark, New Jersey to John Gorman Snyder Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Palmer. John graduated high school and went on to become a truck driver, a career he did for 33 years. John had four children, daughters Teresa, Sherrie, and Cindy, and a son Mark. In his spare time, he loved to work on Hot Rods and watching Formula Racing. Being a trucker for a portion of his life, he enjoyed traveling the country. John loved to keep his guns in top notch shape so he could go after any squirrels that crossed him, and always rooted for his beloved Kansas City Chiefs, New York Giants, and the Oklahoma Sooners.

John is preceded in death by his parents John Sr, and Mary Snyder, and a daughter Cindy Garrison. John is survived by his daughters Teresa Gross and her husband Murray of Jay, Oklahoma. Sherrie Eberle and her husband Steve Lewis of Denver, Colorado, and son Mark Snyder of Las Vegas, Nevada. Grandchildren Trent, Tabby, and Tiffany Smith, Nick, and Stephanie Fuller, Jessica Garrison, Brandon, and J.T. King, and Jennifer Roper. As well as 23 great-grandchildren, and lifelong friends John Lutz, Tom Eaton, Joyce Kowatch.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, October 28, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Grove, Oklahoma.  John will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles, California. Services under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma.
