Aaron Keith Quint, (son, brother, father, Papa A, and friend), left this world on January 13, 2025, in Grove, OK, at the age of 72. He was born on November 16, 1952, in Kansas City, MO, graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School in 1970, attended Arizona State University on a baseball scholarship, and enlisted in the US Marines, serving a tour in Iceland in 1973 before being honorably discharged. Aaron lived the majority of his life in Paola, KS, before relocating to Grove, OK, to be near his children and grandchildren.
He spent his most notable working years as a CDL driver for asphalt and cellular concrete companies. He and his best friend, Don Badart, worked together for many years; and the two became connoisseurs of catching, preparing, and filling their coolers with an array of wild meats and fish to take on their numerous jobsites.
In retirement, Aaron was an outdoorsman enjoying hobbies such as trapping and fishing. His love for the outdoors extended to swimming, gardening, grilling, and spending time by the fire pit, a cherished activity that brought family and friends together. Aaron was also an avid Kansas City Chiefs football fan who is now rooting even harder from Heaven for that third straight Super Bowl WIN!
A natural prankster, Aaron is remembered for his many shenanigans and lack of ability to correctly deliver a pun. Aaron’s outgoing personality drew people to him, and he will be remembered fondly by his grandchildren as the Papa A who pushed them on swings and always had time to throw a stick for every dog he met. Aaron was a huge Trump supporter and was never one to shy away from sharing his opinion.
Aaron is survived by his mother, Kay Quint; his daughter, Renee Diver, and her husband James; his son, Nathan Quint, and his wife Heather; his brother, Michael Quint, and his wife Eva; alongside his niece, Valeria Edwards, and nephew, Roscoe Quint. He was particularly proud of the moments he spent with his five adoring grandchildren: Alice, Lyla, & Evelyn Diver, and Carter & Lillian Quint.
He was preceded in death by his father, R.L. Quint, and his adored wife, Betsy Quint, who passed in 2002. Aaron’s legacy of love, adventure, and family will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
A small celebration of life will be held in the Spring of 2025 at the Lake of the Ozarks. This is where Aaron and Betsy met, fell in love, and will now be reunited forever.
