Alfred Fromm

Alfred Joseph "Al" Fromm, age 66, and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2012, in Jane Phillips Medical Center, Bartlesville. Al was born on June 11, 1946 in Hackensack, New Jersey. He was the son of Ellsworth Fromm and Margaret (Marshall) Fromm. He grew up in Bartlesville, graduating from College High School in 1964. He joined the U.S. Army in June 27, 1967. After serving his Country in the Vietnam War and receiving his Honorable Discharge, he attended Oklahoma State University, graduating with a degree in Electronic Technology. Al and Olive Minnie Cook were united in marriage on July 10, 1972 in Dewey, Oklahoma. They had a daughter, Melissa, on August 24, 1974. Al became an employee of a pipeline company in Anchorage, Alaska in May of 1974 where he worked for 21 years before retiring. Al married Jan Ann Goode in August of 1977 in Alaska and they moved to Bartlesville in 1995. Jan preceded him in death in 2008. Al enjoyed many things. He was a member of the Bartlesville Oldies n' Goodies Car Club and was also a member of the Bartlesville Ham Radio organization. He also enjoyed activities with his family who will remember all the good times spent together. As well as his family, Al had many special friends who will also miss him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellsworth "Hub" Fromm and Margaret (Marshall) Fromm; and his second wife, Jan Fromm. He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Shehi of Bartlesville; grandson, Chris Shehi, II; granddaughter, Ashley Shehi; brother, John Fromm and his wife, Gaby of St. Louis, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; and loving friend, Olive Fromm, of Bartlesville.
