On February 16, 2021, Anna Lee Barrett, loving wife, mother and grandmother, left this life to join her savior at the young age of 96.
Anna Lee was born on August 29, 1924 in Southwest City, MO to the late Orville and Eutha (Marie) Roberts. She lived her childhood life on the farm with her two sisters, Eula and Imogene, and one brother, J.C. Anna Lee was very proud of her Cherokee Heritage. In her early twenties, she married the late Charles (Mitch) Spicer and together they raised two sons, Greg and Michael. Anna Lee was a great mother and enjoyed every moment of it. Later in life, she married Dean Barrett. Together, they traveled to a lot of fun places and enjoyed going to Stillwater to watch football. She also gained two more sons, Ron and Jim Barrett, and a daughter, Susan Sutter.
In her earlier life, Anna Lee taught at the Carr school and worked at the Graham/Nickols Egg Plant. For many years after, she taught piano lessons and played the organ & piano at First Baptist Church, where she was a lifelong member. She loved baking, being outside working in the yard, and spending time with her family. She would always work outside in the yard with white clothes on and never get dirty. She kept her home immaculately clean where it would pass the white glove test. She also made the best chocolate pie ever with the meringue three inches high, along with many other incredible desserts.
