Anna Smith

May 1, 1918 — January 27, 2007

Let Go and Let God When you're troubled and worried and sick at heart And your plans are upset and your world falls apart, Remember God's ready and waiting to share The burden you find much too heavy to bear- So with faith "Let Go and Let God" lead the way Into a brighter and less troubled way. Annie May Allen was born to Julia and Clinton Allen on May 1, 1918 in Vinita, Oklahoma. She married her first husband, Woster Morgan and gave birth to Carolyn Ann, Lawrence, Woster Lee, Ralph and Robert. She then married Virgil Lee Smith and to this union Sharon James, Leender Smith-Cozine, Virgil Lee Smith Jr., David Smith, Deborah Brown and Betty Smith were born. Throughout her life she was a homemaker and later worked as a cook and nurses' assistant. She was very dedicated to her family and spent her entire life raising family members and extended family. She was a devoted caregiver. She loved to cook, can and sew. She loved the outdoors; fishing and gardening. She also loved reading the Bible that lead to her dedicating her life to serve Jehovah. Even though she was incapacitated for nearly thirteen years she continued her love of the Bible by listening to the Kingdom melodies and Bible via audio. She visited and prayed with weekly by her spiritual family. She was deeply loved by her children and all who knew her. She leaves behind to mourn her death her children: Lawrence Morgan, and Sharon James of Vinita, OK; Woster Lee Morgan, Vancouver, Canada, Robert Morgan, Los Angeles, CA; Leender Smith-Cozine, David Smith, Deborah Brown, Tulsa, OK, and Betty Smith of Oakland, CA. Her brothers and sister Clinton R. Allen, Jr. and Wanda Martin of Kansas City, MO and Lewis Allen of Vinita. She was the proud grandmother of twenty-six grandchildren and nineteen great-grand children. She has a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. We are extremely thankful for the loving assistance of John W. Jones, Anna Morrow Dement, Robert Burton and Raymond Hawkins. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita, OK with Minister Mark Paulding officiating.
