Anthony Hume

April 18, 1947 — September 21, 2015

Anthony Robert Hume, age 68, and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015, in his home. Anthony Robert Hume was born April 18, 1947 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He was the son of Robert Franklin Hume and Ruth Nadine Beaman. By the age of five, he revealed a remarkable boy soprano voice. The family moved to Marion, Kansas so he could sing with the boys' choir there until his voice changed. His father then moved the family to Stillwater, OK so the three children would have easy access to Okla. State Univ. During high school Anthony sang with a touring madrigal group. He started college in architecture at OSU, but soon switched to vocal music at Oklahoma City University and later University of Oklahoma. He was married and had three daughters along the way. After that marriage ended, he went on tour with "The Man of La Mancha" as the Padre. This was his introduction to music theatre. He was instrumental in the founding of Church Circuit Opera Company - later Cimarron Circuit - at OU, which toured Oklahoma. There he met Pepper Ross, company designer. He returned to OCU for a Master's of Performing Art and married Pepper. The two worked side by side in design and technical theatre, as well as trade show and exhibit under their company Dcworx, for over 30 years. For retirement they returned to Pepper's hometown of Bartlesville in 2013. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Pepper Ross Hume of Bartlesville and a host of many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
