Archie Speer

Archie Ray Speer, 72 year old Grove resident, passed away Monday, September 6, 2021.  Archie was born in Rector, AR on February 11, 1949 to Archie and Hessie (Helm) Speer.  He worked as a truck driver for more than 30 years.  He loved watching Westerns and keeping up with politics.  Needless to say, his passion for politics led him to yell at the tv often.  Archie was also an active Elks member and served as the Exalted Ruler.

Survivors include his sons Dennis and Jarrod Speer, grandchildren Tyler, Shelby, and Sidney Speer, brothers Dewayne and Fred Speer, and sister Brenda Craig.  He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and mother of his children, Janice Speer, his second wife Teresa Speer, and his brothers: Frank, Charles, Gary, and David Speer.
