Barbara Coursey

Barbara Coursey, 71, of Independence, Kansas died on Friday, October 3, 2008 at Continuous Care Hospital in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She was born January 21, 1937 in Zena, Oklahoma to Sam White and Lucinda Whitfield . In 1970 she married Jerry Dewayne Coursey who will be joining her in heaven. Barbara loved her family and gospel music. She enjoyed sewing and quilting. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Elizabeth Byrd. Survivors include: Vickie Neurauter of Independence, Kansas, Ida Jones of Fremont, Missouri, William Neurauter of Independence, Kansas, Patricia Bacon, Leroy White, Amos James, Bill White, Charlie White, Sam White, Jr., June Archuleta, Aleen White, Kathy Burton, Madean White, 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Barbara Coursey will be held at Hillside Baptist Church near Zena on Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Hillside Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6, 2008 at the church from 4:00 p.m. until service time. Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home of Jay is in charge of arrangements.
