Barbara Jobst

Barbara S. Jobst, 78, a Grove resident passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Integris Grove General Hospital. Mrs. Jobst was born on February 8, 1931 in Moberly, Missouri to Joe and Dorothy Stauder. She married Robert Carroll Jobst on June 15, 1952 in Lamont, Missouri. She taught in Kansas City Elementary schools. Mrs. Jobst had attained her master's degree from Central Missouri State University. Her and her husband moved to Grove from Raymore, Missouri in 1997. Barbara taught at Fairland Public Schools for a few years after moving to Grove. She loved to quilt and sew and was a member of Community of Christ Church. Mrs. Jobst was preceded in death by her parents Joe and Dorothy, and her husband Robert Carroll Jobst who passed on May 24, 2001. Survivors include her son Dr. Karl Jobst of Grove, a daughter Merriel Stebbins of Olathe, Kansas, One grandson Bryan Stebbins, one granddaughter Sarah Stebbins, a brother Ronald Stauder, and her calico cat Daisy. Visitation for Mrs. Jobst will be on Thursday, September 17, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove. Graveside services will be on Friday, September 18, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Mound Grove Cemetery in Independence, Missouri with Pastor Ralph Williston officiating.
