Barbara Wood

Barbara S. Wood, 74 year old Cleora resident, died early Wednesday, March 11, 2009. She was born on September 3, 1934 in Tulsa to Charles W. and Lucille (Durkee) Frye. Barbara graduated from Daniel Webster High School in Tulsa. She married James W. Wood on April 7, 1955 in Tulsa; they lived in the Tulsa area until 1999 when they made their permanent home on Grand Lake. The family includes; her husband James W. Wood of Cleora, a son Randy Wood and wife Cindy of Jenks, a daughter, Sue Ann Cole and husband Don of Aledo, Texas; five grandchildren, Audra Wood, Lori Wood, Whitney Cole, Megan Cole and Caitlin Cole; two sisters, Linda Cleveland of Chouteau, Teresa Pax of Tulsa, a brother Gerald Frye of Arlington, Texas, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother Charles W. Frye, Jr. The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cleora Methodist Church, Pastors Rich Brashears and Bill Busch will officiate.
