Barbara Jean Wright

June 21, 1942 — July 24, 2024

Grove

Barbara Jean Wright just had her 82nd birthday on June 21st,2024. She bid farewell to this world shortly after on July 24th, 2024, in Grove Oklahoma. She was born on June 21st, l 942, in Cashion, Oklahoma to John and Dorothy (Redifer) Weigl.

In her younger years of life, she cared for children of all ages with many different needs in a hospital for about 20 years.

After that she lovingly served as the secretary and supported her husband LJ Wright in his local plumbing business, as most of you know as "Cut Rate Plumbing", until he passed away 3years ago.

Barbara was a phenomenal dancer along with her partner in crime. People used to clear the dance floor just to watch them dance. Her husband used to at any moments notice say "Get on and let's go"! No questions ask she would get on the back of their Harley Davidson, and they would ride all the way to California and back just because they could! Barbara loved going to yard sales, as a matter of fact she used to jokingly say, "If God doesn't have yard sales for me in heaven, then I'm not going"! She found a tremendous amount of joy in life by spending time with and nurturing her very diverse and comical large family. She would always say that "Family and God were her everything and that nothing else in this world matters more".

Barbara was a true firm believer and follower of Jesus Christ. Her faith in Jesus was the epitome of how everyone should try to be. She even had an appreciation for God's creation of hummingbirds and butterflies but most of all a fondness for cardinals. Every time she would see or hear a cardinal she would say "Someone is watching over me in heaven today".

Barbara was a woman of many talents, she had a passion for arts and crafts, writing poems and chalk painting. She also had a knack for knowing when something was wrong with someone and could easily get it out of you.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband L.J. Wright daughter Cindy Wright, brothers James Lynch, David Weigl, John Weigl, sisters Shirley Carthers, Marie Homewood and Margi Weigl. Barbara left behind two brothers Chucky Weigl and Ricky Weigl; her sister Pat Lytal; granddaughter Emily Jansen and husband Tristen; great-grandchildren Connor Fowler, Raider Jansen, and Triton Jansen; niece Patti Rycroft and husband Robert; and numerous bonus children and family members who adored her including Maneicia and husband Eddy Russell, Ann Bevers, Shelby Bruxvoort, Johnny McGowin; Gary McGowin; along with many others who lovingly referred to her as Mamaw.

Barbara Jean Wright's legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering kindness that touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace knowing that she made this world a brighter place through the warmth of her presence.
