Payton, SR., 94, passed away April 2, 2015 at the Talihina Veteran's Center in Talihina, OK. He was born November 8, 1920 in Alluwe, OK to John and Olga (Jones) Payton. Bert enjoyed the outdoors and liked to hunt, fish, and shoot guns. He also enjoyed ranching, riding horses, and traveling. Bert is survived by a son, Bert C. Payton, Jr. and his wife Goldie of Beach Grove, IN; one sister, Dorothy Flood of Vinita, OK; 12 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Loraine; siblings, Mildred Clasby, Bill Payton. Lewis Payton, Otis Payton, Ruben Payton, a half-brother, John L. and one grandchild.
