Bert Edwin Quimby III

Bert Edwin Quimby III, a beloved husband, passed away on October 9, 2023. Born on January 24, 1942, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, to Bert Jr, and Mozell Quimby, Bert lived a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and memorable moments. His passing leaves an indescribable void in the hearts of all who knew him.

Bert's true essence shone through in his role as a devoted husband. He shared an unbreakable bond with his loving wife Retha Quimby – a connection that only grew stronger over the years. Their love story was one characterized by unwavering support, mutual respect, and endless affection. Retha will always treasure the countless memories they created together and carry Bert's spirit within her heart.

Bert's warm and caring nature extended far beyond his immediate family. His nephew Mark Quimby, and niece Sonia Wright held a special place in his heart. Their bond transcended that of an uncle, nephew, and niece; they were kindred spirits who found solace and companionship in each other's presence.

Bert had a variety of interests that brought him joy throughout his life. He avidly loved bass fishing and could often be found casting lines into peaceful waters, patiently waiting for the perfect catch. Monday nights were reserved for spirited poker games with close friends – an opportunity for camaraderie and friendly competition. Sports of all kinds held a special place in Bert's heart, and he reveled in the excitement of each game. Last, Bert had an unwavering love for all dogs, finding comfort and companionship in their presence.

Bert is preceded in death by his parents Bert Quimby Jr, and Mozell Quimby, daughter Sally Davis, and brother Vaughn Quimby.

Bert is survived by his wife Retha Quimby; nephew Mark Quimby. and his wife Mykkisu; niece Sonia Wright. and her husband Chris; his daughter's children Casey Brice, and her husband Scotty; and Josiah Davis and wife Samantha; and Casey’s and Josiah’s children, as well as many friends and family.

No services are scheduled at this time, Bert is under the care of Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home.
