Betty Morrow

Betty Jean Morrow, age 78 of Claremore, a former longtime resident of Langley, OK died Tuesday January 11, 2011 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. She was born February 21, 1932 in Spiro, OK the daughter of Willis Broom and Lula Evans Broom. She was raised and attended school in Spiro where she graduated from high school. Betty lived forty years in Langley, OK where she owned and operated Betty's Beauty Shop for thirty five of those years. She loved being with her family and especially enjoyed the holidays, preparing meals and having everyone around her. She also enjoyed reading, quilting and having coffee with the girls. Betty leaves behind two children, Ray Smith and Kathy Remund, three sisters, Shirley Koci, Ruth Ann Coleman and Madge Carter as well as grand children, Jeff Remund, Lori Remund, Jeremiah Smith, Colton Smith, Brandyn Remund, Trenton Basks, Emilee Remund, Ethan Remund, Eli Remund, Ryan Basks and Tatum Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Roger Smith in 2002, and one brother Garvis Broom. Funeral services for Betty will be Saturday January 15, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home with Pastor Justin Turner officiating with interment to follow in Spavinaw Strang Cemetery under the direction of Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home.
