ARNOLD MOORE & NEEKAMP FUNERAL HOME, BARTLESVILLE, OK - Betty J. Smith, age 83 and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at her home. Betty Jane Frakes was born on November 8, 1931 in Okesa, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Clyde Ross Frakes and Luella May (Owen) Frakes. Except for a short time in Oklahoma City, she was a lifelong resident of the Bartlesville area. Betty was born into a large family where she was one of 10 children. She was a graduate of the Nelagoney High School. Betty was employed with the South Western Bell Company and later AT&T. She retired as a Customer Service Manager in 1997 after 25-30 years of loyal service to the company. She was a member of the Highland Park Baptist Church, Bartlesville. Family was very important to Betty as she enjoyed all the times spent with them. One of the things she especially enjoyed was fishing and floating the Elk River. She loved holidays and going overboard for her family. She also loved to watch OU football and basketball. She will be dearly missed by all her family and those who knew her. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Ross Frakes and Luella May (Owen) Frakes; daughter, Teresa Hamilton; sisters, Esther, Irma and Dora; and brothers, Charles, Ora, Harry, Clyde and Bob Frakes. She is survived by her son, Michael Don Smith and his fiancée, Yvonne Toy, of Bartlesville; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Loflin and her husband, Dave, of Thailand, and Jacob Smith of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two step-grandchildren, Wes and Briggs Toy, both of Marland, Oklahoma; one sister, Lora Williams of Oklahoma City; and several nieces and nephews and other relatives. Come and go visitation will be held on Sunday from 1-6:00 PM and on Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 AM-8:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, 710 S. Dewey Ave
