WORLEY-LUGINBUEL FUNERAL HOME ~ GROVE, OK ~ 918-786-2261--------------- Betty L Wethey died early Saturday morning March 8, 2014 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 79 years. Betty was born July 16, 1934 in Seneca, MO, to her parents, Dow Allen and May Belle (Pickett) Canady. Betty married the love of her life, Orville E. Wethey on August 18, 1951 in Phillipsburg, PA; they celebrated 62 years of marriage together. During their life together, while Orville worked as a mechanic and general laborer, Betty took care of the home. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren have many fond memories of their grandmother spending time with them, teaching them how to play card games, and dominos. Betty is preceded in death by daughter, Paulynn Wethey; two brothers, Allen and Roy Canady; and one sister, Virginia Smith. Betty leaves many loving memories with her family; her husband, Orville E. Wethey; three sons, Lee Wethey and wife Martha; Wade Wethey and wife Carmen; John Wethey and wife Sandra; four daughters; Aretha Denham, Betty Drewry and husband Charlie, Tammy Baird and husband Dale, Faith Ellen and companion, Randall McCall; two sisters Minnie Summer and husband Lloyd, and Mary Russell and husband Loyd; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many other loving relatives. The family wants to say a special thanks to the Image Health Care and to the staff of Colonial Manor. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses and are greatly appreciated. Viewing and Visitation will be Noon to 1:30 PM Monday, March 10, 2014 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM at Hickory Grove Cemetery, with Rev. James Woolard officiating. Casket Bearers are Jeremy Wethey, Cody Baird, Flint Butler, Kyle Wethey, LJ Wethey, and Dakota Ward; Honorary bearer Kevin Wethey.
