Beverly Roberts

Beverly Ann Roberts, age 65, died at her residence on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 in Grove, Oklahoma. Beverly was born on May 16, 1943 in Grove, Oklahoma to Billie Floyd and Lina May (Murry) Hanks. Beverly retired as a field auditor for the Oklahoma Tax Commission. She was the owner/operator of several establishments including the Dakota's Supper Club in Ardmore, Oklahoma, The Silver Mine/ Silver Skateland in Grove, Oklahoma (the current Westco location), The Black Ox Restaurant in Grove, The Privateer Supper Club in Port Duncan on Monkey Island, The Candle Light Supper Club / The Mr. Yuk Club (the current Arby's location), and was currently co-owner in the Red Bird Indian Smoke Shop in Grove, Oklahoma. Beverly was a member of the BPW, she was very involved with the Democrat Party including the campaigns of Mr. Littlefield's, Darrell Roberts, and Governor Brad Henry's campaign, and a supporter of the Cherokee Nation. Beverly enjoyed cooking, sewing, entertaining, and spending quality time at the casino. Beverly was preceded in death by her father and mother, one sister Marsha K. Wright. She is survived by her grandmother Jessie Bea Doublehead, her three children Brently "Brent" Carl Roberts of Grove, Oklahoma. Bradley "Hootie" Wayne Roberts and his two children Christina Michelle Roberts and Sierra Ann Roberts of Grove, Oklahoma, Capucine Machelle Leeann "Cappy" McTasney and her husband Brian James McTasney of Springfield Tennessee and their two children Tristen Patrick McTasney and Gabriel Luke McTasney, one brother Ace N. Wright Jr., and one sister Lois May Lapuma of Kansas City, Missouri. Viewing will be from 8:00 AM until 9:00 PM Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The family will be available for a visitation from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2008 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Monday, October 27, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Grove, Oklahoma. Co-Officiating will be Reverend Loyd Crawford, Reverend William Davis and Reverend Dolphus Blevins. Serving as casketbearers will be Travis Wright, Trey Wright, Keith Nuckolls, Mike Partain, John Tune and Winston Conner III and Honorary casketbearer Brandon Francis.
