Billy Joe Dick, age 74, passed away on February 7, 2013 after a long battle with Liver cancer. Billy was born on March 17, 1938 to John and Ada Mae Dick. He attended school in White Oak, graduating in 1956. He later joined the United States Navy, serving 4 years. Billy enjoyed all sports particularly baseball (St. Louis Cardinals), football (Kansas City Chief) and fishing. He was also very close to his family and enjoyed spending time with all of them. Survivors include his wife Jan Dick of the home, daughter Monica Shonkwiler and husband Scott of Bonner Springs, KS, step-daughters: Cathy Storey of Ketchum, and Jami Storey and spouse Kyle Delozier of Clarmeore, grandchildren: Bradley Shonkwiler, Steven Shonkwiler, Riley Shonkwiler, Keyara Storey, and Savana Huddleston, siblings: Marvin Thomas of Chelsea, Nathaniel George Dick and wife Andrea of Broken Arrow, Katherine Leaf of Chelsea, Julie Whitetree and husband Pete of Miami, Paul Dick of Chelsea, and Beverly Blalock of Chelsea, as well as countless nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be sent to the Clarehouse 7617 S. Mingo Road, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74133. A wake will be held Sunday evening at his sister, Katherine Leaf's residence. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 11, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Chelsea with Pastor Gerald Biswell officiating. Interment will follow at the Shawnee Cemetery near White Oak. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com
