Benjamin Funeral Service - Nowata, Oklahoma.................. Billy Ray (Bill) Walker, 86 of Nowata passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015. He was born December 10, 1928 in Stilwell, OK to Tom and Gladys (Tucker) Walker. He was a 1946 graduate of Delaware High School and married Frances Ruth Elledge in Nowata on December 14, 1950. Early in life he worked at the Hassel Ranch. He later owned and operated Walker Drilling for many years and retired in 1991. He also worked for Richardson and Burns Propane Company afterward. He attended Living Word Family Church in Nowata. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Frances, of the home. He is survived by two sons, Allan Walker and his wife Carline of Nowata. Mark Walker and his wife Lucy of Ramona, OK, grandchildren, Bob Walker and his wife Melissa of Broken Arrow, OK. Shelly Gilliam and her husband Jarod of Broken Arrow, OK. Lee Ann Frakes and her husband Todd of La Feria, TX, Brian Copeland and his wife Stacy of Bartlesville, Amanda Harper and her husband Daren of Bartlesville, OK, Jim Schober and his wife Dalene, Chris Schober and his wife Lyndse, Dusty Schober and his wife Jessica, all of Mountain Grove, MO; Angel Olenberger and her husband Eddie of Bartlesville, OK; also, twenty-three great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Nadine Fraley and her husband Tom, of Springfield, Missouri, and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Dean Walker of Nowata, OK, an infant son Richard Lee Walker, his parents Tom and Gladys Walker of Nowata, and a brother Jerry Walker of Owasso, OK. Funeral services for Billy are at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Living Word Family Church in Nowata with Pastor Jim Price officiating.
