December 12, 1937 — February 6, 2016

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma 918-253-3222.Bonnie Louise Jackson Rudick was born December 12, 1937 to Lee and Ottoma Jackson just south of Wild Horse Mountain in rural Sequoyah County Oklahoma. She was the ninth of ten children, with both her parents and all siblings preceding her in death with exception of her beloved baby sister Ruth. Bonnie married Dayton Rudick of Hanson, Oklahoma on July 23, 1955. They began married life in Missouri but later moved to Delaware County and the Jay area. While she and Dayton resided briefly in South Lake Tahoe, California and Salt Lake City, Utah it was northeast Oklahoma and the people living there that she considered home and family, living in Spavinaw, Topsy and finally retiring in Grove. Their union saw the birth of three children, son Gary Duane and his wife Donna, of Owasso, Oklahoma, daughter Cathy Lynn of Grove, Oklahoma and son Mark Michael and wife Tonya of Eucha, Oklahoma. She is survived by her husband, Dayton, of the home, her three children, eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one sister, Ruth Tyler of Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She began her career as a beautician, opening her first beauty shop in 1962. The shop was originally out of the small farm house in rural Delaware County but later Bonnie's for Beauty became her mantra for many years as she moved from Jay to Spavinaw. She was a member of the Grove Brush and Palette Club, having taught herself to paint at an early age and loved the artistic flair of placing paint on canvas. She was an incredible fundraiser for the Delaware County Youth Art Show sponsored by the B&P. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asked that you consider a donation to the Grove Brush and Pallet Club in her honor. Bonnie was also a member of the Delaware County Home Extension Club for many years. She created the Nursing Home Happy Birthday and visitation program along with the Bookcase for Every Child program in Delaware County. She taught cooking classes at the CAAIR program. She was a born again Baptist, brought up in a Pentecostal home by an Assembly of God father. She has had a long relationship with her savior, Jesus Christ. She passed from this life at home on February 6, 2016 leaving behind family and friends she knows she will see again at Jesus' feet.
