Carl Miller

Carl E. Miller, age 81, of Grand Point, Vinita, OK, died Tuesday March 9, 2010. Carl was born in Strerling, OK on April 21, 1928 to Myron and Eva Miller. Carl married Ruby Jewel Lewis on August 30, 1950 in Eureka Springs, AR. After serving in the Armed Forces, he returned to the Miami area and worked at BF Goodrich for 33 years, retiring in 1986. Carl was also a farmer and rancher in the Miami area for 50 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his soul mate Ruby Jewel, brother Frank and wife Joyce, and sisters Mary and Barbara. Survivors include daughter Carla Jewel Davis and husband Randy of Grand Point; son J. B. Miller and wife Susan of Seneca; brothers Don E. Miller and wife Rhonda, and Robert Miller all of Jay; sister Edna Jones and husband of Albuquerque, NM; three grandchildren Cole Davis and wife LoRae of San Francisco, CA, Kassie Gladd and husband Scott of Claremore, and Chelsie Miller of Joplin, MO; one great-grandson Nash Van Davis, brothers-in-law Berry Lewis and wife Carol and Allen McFarland, sisters-in-law Geraldine and Kathie Lewis, and 27 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m., Sunday, March 14, 2009 at Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 15, 2009 at the South Grand Lake Christian Church with Rev. Bob Weitzell officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Afton, OK. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Assosiation OK, Chapter 6465, South Yale, Suite 206, Tulsa, OK 74136 or to the South Grand Lake Christian Church Outreach Program, P.O.
