Carl Voy York, age 97, Grove, Oklahoma, went to be with his wife, Christena York, July 2, 2019, at Grove Integris Hospital.
He was born August 14, 1921 in Pond Creek, OK, to the late Benjamin Harrison and Ada Edith Mullican York.
Carl served in the United States Army during World War II. He loved spending his time gardening, farming, spending time with friends and family. He was a brave man. He lived his life every day to the fullest. He always spoke of how much he loved his wife Christena, and how he missed her very much. He married Mary Christena Stricker, she preceded in death December 4, 2005.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Richard York, Sr.; three brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include one son, Larry Don York and wife, JoAnn, Joplin, MO; five grandchildren, Richard York, JR. and Gina, Dawn Keller and husband, Brian, both of Jay, OK; Troy York and wife, Melany, Boston MA, Ben York, Maysville, AR, and Steven York, Joplin, MO; six great grand children; and a daughter-in-law, Ruth York.
Graveside services are planned for 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2019 in the Olympus Cemetery, Grove. The family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, in the Worley – Luginbuel Chapel. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Worley – Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma
