Carol Ann Browning

Carol Ann Browning, 84-year-old resident of Grove, passed away on June 28, 2023, in Claremore.

Carol was born on September 15, 1938, in San Francisco, California.  She was the daughter of Miquel Elmer and Julia (Castro) Ruano.  Carol was a Licensed Practical Nurse and took great pride in her work in the health care field.  Carol Ann also enjoyed traveling, eating international foods, tending to her flowers, loving her animals, but most of all, her family was her most valued treasure.  Carol also spent a lot of time doing family research, she even wrote a book “Journey To Ruano”.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Babe Ruano.  She is survived by her husband Jarrell, her two children: Elizabeth Lewis and husband David of Claremore and Richard Sanders and wife Maureen of Virginia.  She was blessed with seven grandchildren: April Lucas, Daniel Fields, Julie Ann Bergeron, Alexander Lewis, Catherine Danks, Aimee Nutt, and Richard Ruano Sanders, seventeen great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

A visitation will be held from 1-2 PM, with services starting at 2:00 PM, Friday, June 30, 2023, at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel Grove.  Carol will be laid to rest in Olympus Cemetery.
