Charlotte LaVena Bennett, age 83, passed away on August 4, 2021, in Derby, Kansas.
Charlotte was born on July 14, 1938, in Independence, Kanas. She was the daughter of Roy Cleve and Mildred May (Piearson) Lamb. She was united in marriage to John Lee “Jack” Bennett August 5, 1955, in Hutchison, Kansas. Together they owned and operated CJ Carryout in Andale, Kansas. Upon their retirement, John and Charlotte moved to Grove, Oklahoma and were members of St. Elizabeth Catholic church. She enjoyed making dolls, researching family history, and spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son Russell. She is survived by three sons: Tony Bennett and wife Judy, James Bennett and wife Michell, Ricky Bennett and wife Angela; grandchildren, Jeremy Zeliff, Nikki Jones, Michael Bennett, Amanda Bennett, Jessica Bennett, Jonathan Bennett, Erika Bennett, James Bennett, Anna Bennett, Julia Bennett; great-grandchildren, Keira, Korbin, Leo, Shaunna Lierman, Annie Lierman, Victoria Sparks, Joseph Sparks, Levi Bennett, Elaina Bennett, Caitlynn Zeliff, Cameron Zeliff and Richard Jones, Jr., Johnathan Pryor, Charlotte Bennett, as well as many other loving family members and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Havana Union Cemetery in Havana, Kansas. Services have been entrusted to Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma.
