Cheryl Yvonne (Bradley) Benton, 71-year-old resident of Afton, Oklahoma, passed away on April 21, 2023, at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Cheryl was born on September 7, 1951, in Miami, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Wayne Bradley and Lindia (Golden) Hedstrand. Cheryl enjoyed being outdoors, tending to her flower garden, doing puzzles, casino hopping, fishing, but most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her father Wayne Bradley, her mother and stepfather Lindia and Al Hedstrand, her paternal grandparents Earnest & Florene Bradley, four siblings: Joy Moore, Brenda Burris, Milton Newberry and Patricia Bradley. She is survived by her stepmother Joyce Bradley, her four children: Tommy Lee Volden (Wendi) of Tuttle, OK, Lawrence Dean Benton (Kim) of Miami, OK, Bradley Benton (Anny) of Grove, OK Linda Petrait of Afton, OK. Cheryl will be dearly missed by her nine brothers and sisters: Dona Beehler, Sandy Stephenson, Joyla Stone, Gary Bradley, Bill Bradley, Lynda Almquist, Cathy Rocha, Jeff Hedstrand and Cindy Robbins. Left behind to carry on Cheryl’s legacy are her adored grandchildren; Tommy Volden, Tiffany Stringer, Mason Petrait, Madison Petrait, Kody Benton, Devin Cook, Coy Cook, Nevaeh Glass, Haley Benton, Mariah Benton and Tyson McKay, Jordon Newton, great grandchildren; Maverick Volden, Cash Cook, Clay Cook, Zoey Cook, Ty Cook and Lena Cook, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6 PM – 8PM, Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma. Funeral service is scheduled for 10 AM, Friday, April 28, 2023, at Cornerstone Church in Grove, Oklahoma. Cheryl will be laid to rest in the Fairland Cemetery.
