CHRISTINA ELIZABETH MANTOOTH . Christina Elizabeth Prather Mantooth passed away Tuesday May 2, 2006 at Jane Phillips Hospital in Bartlesville at the age of 95 years 10 months. She was born in the Fish Creek School District, near Ochelata on July 2, 1910 the daughter of Joe and Iva Tennent Prather. In 1917 the Prather family moved to a farm just South and East of Ochelata where she was reared, and received her formal education. She and Virgil Mantooth were united in marriage in Nowata on October 28, 1929 and made their home in Bartlesville. She was a homemaker and an active member of the Bible Holiness Church where she had taught Bible Class. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery and being a homemaker. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Darrel and Barbara Mantooth of Houston, Texas, a granddaughter Stacy and Travis Buford of Anchorage, Alaska, one grandson Jeremy Mantooth of San Antonio, Texas, and two great grandsons Sam and Logan Buford also of Anchorage, Alaska, a sister-in-law Theda Prather of Ochelata and several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil in1989 her parents, and two brothers George and Robert Prather. Funeral services will be Friday May 5, 2006 at 2:00 p.m., at the Bible Holiness Church with Rev. James Parrish officiating with interment to follow in Ochelata Cemetery under the direction of the Neekamp -Luginbuel Funeral Home.
