Christopher Pewe

August 24, 1991 — October 15, 2010

Christopher Hill Péwé arrived on this earth August 24, 1991 in Mesa, AZ. He reunited with his Creator on October 15, 2010. Memorial services will held on Thursday, October 21st in Johnstone Park, Bartlesville, OK at 2:00pm. Elder Tommy Dent, Pastor of Church of God in Christ, Chanute, KS will officiate. On-line condolences can be left for the family at www.honoringmemories.com. Services have been entrusted to the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home From early childhood it was evident that Chris packed a whole lot of living in whatever the activity at hand. He was passionate in what he believed in, and his exuberance was not easily contained. His beaming smile, sparkling green eyes and fiery red hair prompted his parents to tag him as their "bright, shiny penny"; for they knew how lucky they were to be blessed with Chris as their firstborn son. The first few years of Chris' life were lived in Eagar, AZ. It was there that he first tried his hand at feeding cattle. In 1996 the family relocated to Casa Grande, AZ where Chris attended school and developed many lifelong friendships. Chris was blessed with a special gift in working with animals and it was only natural that he used his skill in working on ranches in New Mexico and Oklahoma. In 2009 Chris moved to Fort Collins, CO where he attended Rocky Mountain High School. In 2010, Chris relocated to Bartlesville, OK where he met the love of his life, Lacey Rene (Dent) Péwé. Both young people were "head over heels": Lacey wrote on a web page about Chris "That's a dream. That's MY dream." On August 24, 2010 Chris and Lacey united in marriage and the two became one. Chris was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. If he was not working with his dogs, he would often be found on the banks of the Caney River, or enjoying God's natural artistry as he bounded along the Pathfinder Parkway. Chris was a student attending Bartlesville Public Schools with future plans to pursue a degree in criminal justice. Family connection was vitally important to Chris. He loved with a passion that is unparalleled. Chris is survived by his wife, Lacey Rene Péwé of the home. His brother, Jonathan "J.D." Péwé, and his mother, Stella E. Shoff, of Bartlesville. His father David Lee Péwé and wife Patty (Coronado) Péwé; stepsister Sarah Coronado of Casa Grande, AZ. Uncles Richard B. Shoff and wife Yorloney and Cory Shoff of Kannapolis, NC; Richard H. Péwé and wife Laura of Thousand Oaks, CA; and Gary Clay of Phoenix, AZ. Aunts Barbara Shoff and Gretchen Moser of Bartlesville, Debby Joy of Fenton, MO; Lisa Péwé of Phoenix, AZ; and Mary Shoff of Dewey, OK. He will be missed by scores of friends and extended family.
