Memorial Services for Clarence Lee Stansbury are 3:00 P.M., Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Wann, Oklahoma with Pastor Kyle Clutter officiating. Clarence Lee Stansbury, 74, passed away Monday, January 23, 2017 at St. John's Hospital in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was born March 21, 1942 in Jay, Oklahoma to Clyde Orion and Mozell Irene (DeMoss) Stansbury. Clarence was raised by his step-father Henry Crites. He graduated from Wann High School and worked as a machinist at Funk Manufacturing for many years. On February 15, 1961 he married Betty Scott of Lenapah. They had a daughter Vickie and then later divorced. On March 29, 1999 he married Laura Elizabeth Bond in Miami, Oklahoma. Clarence enjoyed playing golf, dancing and gardening. He enjoyed attending church and in later years became very interested in politics. He would attend all the county commissioner's meetings he was able to and would talk as long as you would listen. He loved people, but most of all he loved his family. Clarence will be missed by all who knew him. Clarence is survived by his wife Laura Elizabeth of the home; children, Vickie Dick and husband Larry Of Coffeyville, Kansas, Josh Stansbury of Reno, Nevada, (Mike) James Mehl of Wann, Oklahoma, Rhonda Sebert of Nowata, Oklahoma, Rodney Mehl or Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Siblings, Linda Lee, Stephen Crites, Nancy Burdick, Melissa Seaton, William Matthew Crites, Robert Crites all of Coffeyville, Kansas, Mary Scott of Texas City, Texas, Patsy Hilton of Dayton, Texas, Barbara Scott of Tuttle, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Chad Dick and wife Mickey of Baldwin City, Kansas, Corey Dick and wife Debi of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Eli Dick, Cason Dick, Joshua Dick. Clarence is preceded in death by his father, Clyde Stansbury; his parents Henry and Mozell Crites; two siblings, Clyde Stansbury, Jr. and John Crites.
