Clun Keys

Clun Donnelly Keys, 90 year-old rural Vinita resident, died Thursday, May 17, 2007 at the Craig General Hospital in Vinita. He was born February 10, 1917 in Vinita to Monroe Amory Keys and Martha Ann (Mattie) Donnelly Keys. Clun graduated from Vinita High School in 1936. Clun was in the United States Army during World War II, serving with the 508th Parachute Infantry, from June of 1942 to December of 1945. He married Georgia Perkins on April 3, 1947, in Columbus, Kansas. Clun had worked at the B. F. Goodrich Tire Plant in Miami and was a farmer-stockman. Clun was a very active member of the First Church of God in Vinita, where he served as a Sunday School Teacher, officer, board member, and had a bible group at the local nursing center. The family includes; his wife Georgia of the home, one daughter Jane Ann Anderson and husband Rodger of Vinita, and one sister Jane Echols of Vinita. Preceding him in death were, his parents, two infant daughters, Mary Katherine and Nancy Sue Keys, siblings, Wahnie Haynes in 1973, Emma Keys in 1977, Amory Keys in 1946, and Joe Keys in 1914. The funeral service will be held Monday, May 21, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Church of God in Vinita, with Pastor Eddie Wrinkle officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita. Arrangements are by the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com.
