Connie Mae Wilcox, age 86, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2024, at the Grand Lake Villa in Grove, Oklahoma. She was born on February 4, 1938, in Miami, Florida to the late Connie J. Rafford and Fanny Charlotte (Strickland) Rafford. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Connie lived a life marked by the love she shared with her family.
Throughout her life, Connie found joy in the simple pleasures, particularly in her hobbies of fishing, camping, and quilting, which brought her great happiness. Connie was a member of the First Assembly of God church of Grove.
Connie is survived by her three children: Gary Gates and wife Missy of Texas, Charlotte Gilbert and husband Larry of Grove, and Coreen Mosley and husband Michia of Oklahoma and her sister Peggy Ann Rafford. Her legacy continues through her 30 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Fred Wilcox (2002) her son Glen Gates, and her sister Gilda Rafford.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore, Oklahoma.
