Danny L. Murry

Danny L. Murry, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025, in Afton, Oklahoma, at the age of 65. Born on March 28, 1959, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Danny found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often spending his free time at the creek, where he would go fishing and rock hunting. These activities reflected his deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors, showcasing a spirit that cherished family moments and the beauty of the world around him.

He is survived by his father, Danny Murry, and his children: Amber Murry and her partner Justin Johnson, Preston Murry and his wife Heather, Justin Buckett and his partner Rae Hall, and Chawaila Stevenson and her wife Natalie, Richard Hedgpath and wife Heather Hedgpath, Phillip Nelson and Tre Nelson. Danny's legacy continues with 24 grandchildren: Landen Johnson, A-Ron Johnson, Bentlee Johnson, Tyren Murry, Emma Murry, Bradly Zimmerman, Dakota Zimmerman, Gage Kandt, Karter Buckett, Juliah Johnson, Alyssa Stevenson, Kaylea Johnson, Riley Beasley, Elizabeth Hedgepath, Aria Hedgepath, Taylor Nelums, Brenton Austin, Carter Nelums, Summer Putman, Lillian Carley, Jonny Nakota, as well as his brothers and sisters. Danny will be dearly missed by his brothers Randy Murry and Tony Murry and wife Patty, and his sister Patricia Seaton and husband Mike.

Danny was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Murry and a brother Gary Murry. His passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who loved him, yet his spirit will live on through the many lives he touched.
