David Nelson

David Allen Nelson, 58 year old rural Vinita resident, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013. He was born on February 25, 1955 in Tulsa to W. D. and Wanda (Nivison) Nelson. David was a graduate of Tulsa Will Rogers High School. He married Karen Martin on August 30, 1986. They lived in Conway, Missouri for several years where he owned an Antique Store and worked for Dallas County. They moved to this area in July 1995, to be closer to his mother, He worked for Home of Hope for a time, before his illness forced his retirement. David was a member of the Wekiwa Baptist Church. The family includes: his wife Karen of the home; mother, Wanda Nelson of Bluejacket; children, Wesley Nelson of Bluejacket, Lisa Nelson of Glenpool, Chris Nelson of the home; brother Bill Nelson of Sand Springs; grandchildren, Kyle Nelson, T. J. Boswell and Ethan Nelson. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Juanita Faye Remington. The memorial service will be held Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Timberhill Baptist Church, at Four Corners (west of Bluejacket).
