Delores P. Joplin passed away on September 10, 2017 at Brookdale South, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, surrounded by her loving family. Delores Ann "Dee" Pieper was born on June 27, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the daughter of Theophil Bernard Pieper, Jr. and Ann (Bundschuh) Pieper. She had lived in the Bartlesville community from 1973-1979; and returned in 2003. Dee married Robert C. "Bob" Joplin in 1955 in St. Louis in the St. Louis Lutheran Church. Dee was a great cook, gracious hostess, creative and crafty. For many years, she enjoyed creating and painting ceramic pieces. While in Omaha, she was also active in the Assistance League of Omaha, often serving in different leadership roles. She was a committed and passionate member of the PEO Chapters in both Omaha and later in Bartlesville. She always enjoyed being an active member of the Questor Chapters in both Omaha and Bartlesville and participated in the national conventions. Dee and Bob raised two beautiful daughters, Ann and Chris. During her girls' early years, Dee supported them through their Girl Scouting years by serving as both a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader for their respective troops. Both Dee and Bob were Youth Group Leaders for St. Thomas Lutheran Church in St. Louis. After 58 years of marriage, Bob preceded Dee in death on January 26, 2014.
