Diana Veley

Diana Lynn (Ewers) Veley went to be with our Heavenly Father on July 3, 2020, she was 59.

Diana was born June 27, 1961 to Jim and Pat (Ridenhour) Ewers at Nowata General Hospital. She attended Nowata Public Schools and graduated from Nowata High School with the Class of 1979.

Diana met the love of her life, Fred Veley, and they were married December 16, 1978 at the Delaware Baptist Church.  From this union, three children were born, Cory Wayne Veley, Clinton Kyle Veley and Carissa Lynn Veley.

She was employed at various businesses through the years, including: Town & Country Grocery Store, Wal-Mart, Jane Phillips Hospital, CMI, Ewers Enterprises, and was presently employed at Cherokee Casino in South Coffeyville.

Diana was a member of the Nowata Country Club and formerly active and member of the Eagles in Bartlesville.

Diana enjoyed her time on the golf course with her husband and friends and was good at the game but got aggravated quite often at herself for not playing as well as you thought she should. Also enjoyed many hours of watching it with Fred on television.   She also enjoyed reading, traveling, collecting shot glasses, her pets and you did not dare call her while watching the “Price is Right”.  What brought her most joy was spending time with her family and friends.

She will be missed by her husband of 41 years, Fred, sons Cory and Clint of Nowata, and daughter Carissa of Owasso. Grandchildren, Mariah, Jillian, Chandler, Allie, Ciara, Cady, Cami, Clara, Caleb, Kennedee, and Kade.   Parents, Jim and Pat Ewers of Nowata.   Sisters, Jami (Bryan) Blom and Kristi (Chris) Jesina, and Brother, Jimmy (Sarah) Ewers, as well as a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 10th, 2020 at Nowata Hillside Christian Church with Pastor Tom Tanquary officiating.  Interment will be at the Ball Cemetery, Childers, OK.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Nowata Country Club in Nowata, Oklahoma.
