Diane Mathis

Diane (Bowen) Mathis, a resident of Grove passed away at a Tahlequah Hospital. She was sixty-one. Diane was born on August 7, 1950 in Miami, Oklahoma to E.O. "Huck" Bowen and Zelma Ballew. Diane loved looking out for others. She also enjoyed oil painting, animals. Her husband Terry Leon Mathis preceded Diane in death in November of 2009, a sister Sharon K. Bowen along with her parents Huck and Zelma. Survivors include her son Robert Mathis and his wife Katherine of Grove, two daughters Terri R. Smarr and her husband Michael and Misty M. Wells both of Russellville, Arkansas, two brothers Lynn Bowen and his wife Robin, Rocky Bowen and his wife Denise, a sister Nancy McLaughlin. Grandchildren are Tyler D. Mathis, Ryan James Mathis, Aiden Smarr, Branda Gamble, Brianna Gamble and Hunter Gamble. Funeral services for Diane will be Friday, December 16, 2011 at 3:00 PM at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove with Minister Doug Rainbolt officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairland Cemetery under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Casketbearers will be Ryan Mathis, Tyler Mathis, Branda Gamble, Robbie McLaughlin, Brianna Gamble and Hunter Gamble.
