Don Burger

Don Steven “Steve” Burger was called home to be with the Lord on February 18, 2023, in Joplin, Missouri at the age of 77.  He was born on May 22, 1945, to Billy Don and JoAnn Bell Burger in Grove, Oklahoma.  He graduated from Grove High School in 1963.  He married Rebecca Ann Warren on April 2, 1971, and they raised one daughter.

Steve worked in the aerospace industry as a Quality Assurance Engineer for many years.  He was a 32nd Degree Mason.  He loved being a cowboy, rodeos, football, John Deer tractors and horse racing.  He owned, trained and raced quarter horses in Oklahoma and New Mexico.  He enjoyed spending time at the track for over 50 years.

Steve will be greatly missed by his wife, daughter and other family members, as well as the many friends he made throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife Rebecca Burger, daughter Shari Ann Burger, brother Terry Lee Burger and his wife Patty, sister Cindy Tauuneacie and her husband Dan, niece Michelle Burger and nephews Jason and Jimmy Tauuneacie.  He is preceded in death by his parents Bill and JoAnn Burger.
