Don Arthur Holcomb

Don Arthur Holcomb, 80 year old Bernice resident, passed away on August 15, 2024. Don was born in Miami, OK on October 7, 1943, to Arthur and Lavenia (Nixon) Holcomb. He attended elementary school in Miami, as well as Tucson Arizona where he would finish out his school days. After school Don joined the U. S. Navy and was stationed on the USS Tortuga. On December 4, 1977, he was baptized at the First Southern Baptist Church in Beamont, CA. For a career, Don was employed at the California Portland Cement Company from 1969-1980 where he worked as a welder, repairman, and crane operator. Don had also received his certification as a marine mechanic. It was his love for the water that eventually brought him to Bernice to live out his retirement. He loved to fish and spend time out on his boat. He was a member of Bernice Baptist Church.

Don is preceded in death by his parents and daughter Holly Kulhanek. He is survived by his daughters Leslie Harris and Stacey Brooker and their families.
