Benjamin Funeral Service - Nowata, Oklahoma - 918-273-2700............................................... Donald Wayne "Wildman" Hall was born on July 31st, 1966, in Vinita, and departed this life on Friday, November 4th, 20l6 at 2:25 pm at his home. He was surrounded by his loved ones and his best buddy, his dog, Skeeter at his side. He succumbed to complications resulting from an employment related vehicle accident that occurred on June 5th 2003. Wayne was raised in the Bluejacket area where he attended school, graduating in 1984. After graduation, he operated heavy equipment, primarily in the coal mines of Missouri. He joined the Army in 1987 and was discharged in 1990. He was a crane operator in the 577 Engineer Battalion, 1st Engineer Brigade, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Upon being transferred to Germany, he was assigned to the motorpool of the 60th Ordinance Company, 15th Ordinance Ammo Battalion at Friedberg. He drove a 2 1/2 ton truck up and down the treacherous mountain roads, from Friedburg to Wildflicken, ferrying munitions and personnel to and from the mountain top munitions depot. He was awarded the Army Achievement Medal, with one Oak Leaf cluster, a Certificate of Achievement and a Certificate of Merit for Safety. The latter awarded for driving 7137 miles in a 1 year period, up and down that mountain in all kinds of weather and for always volunteering for the most dangerous missions. After his discharge he came back to Bluejacket and began his 10 year employment with Cinch Connectors in Vinita. He started as a molding operator and was a 3rd shift supervisor when he left. From there he went back to the coal mines operating a D11 bulldozer for Brakefield Equipment. His final employment was Right of Way maintenance for a rural electric company. Wayne liked to drive fast and party hard. Doing both at the same time which occassionally required him to repair his wrecked vehicles and motorcycles. In addition to watching NASCAR racing on tv, he loved motorcycles and started riding at an early age. He was still riding until last year. He was an original member of the Forgotten Confederates Motorcycle Club and also the Vice President. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Doris Hall, father-in-law, Jim Coyne, brothers-in-law, Tyree Roberts and Terry Stevens. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Lisa, of the home, mother and father-in-law, Carol and Bob Stevens of Nowata, siblings: Carlene (Jim) Ebel of Broken Arrow, Brent (Shawn) Hall of Aurora, Missouri, Kent (Cindy) Hall of Bluejacket. Sisters-in-law, Lori Shields of Oologah and Debbie (Kenny) Vineyard of Panama, brothers-in-law Larry (Elaine) Stevens of Bartlesville and Ricky Stevens of Owasso. Biological siblings, Sherry (Mike) Wright of Cleora, Stephanie (Thomas) Jones of Friendswood, Texas, and Shannon (Shane) Smith of Miami. Numerous Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services will be held on Friday, November 11th at 2 pm at Benjamin Funeral Home in Nowata. Visitation will be Thursday evening, November 10th from 5-7 pm. Wayne will be laid to rest in Nowata Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the No-We-Ta Cherokee Community Foundation, PO Box 843, Nowata, Oklahoma.
