Luginbuel Funeral Home Vinita…….. 918-256-5555 Donald (Donnie) Leigh Johnson passed away at St. Francis Hospital Tulsa September 07, 2017. He was born August 01, 1946 in Columbus, Pennsylvania. The son of Herman Howard Johnson and Evelyn (Alexander) Johnson. Donnie was raised in the Columbus, Pennsylvania area and later moved to Denver, Colorado. He worked as a carpenter. Donnie met the mother of his children Loretta McClain and was married on October 17, 1969. They moved their family to Vinita in 1975. He was a building contractor by trade and took great pride in building cabinets. He was a precise wood work finish man. His favorite hobby was playing cards with friends and in tournaments. Donnie was baptized as a Baptist by faith. Donnie was preceded by his mother, father, by two brothers Grant and Carl Johnson. He is survived by the mother of his children Loretta Tugmon; two sons Tyson Johnson of Vinita, Ok and Shawn Johnson and wife Stacy of Phoenix Arizona. He has eight grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. The visitation will be Wednesday September 13, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita. The funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Justin Turner on Thursday September 14, 2017 at 2:00 pm Fairview Cemetery. On-line condolences may be submitted to www.honoringmemories.com.
