Donna Price

Donna Mae Price, 88, went into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, September 23, 2021.

Donna was born December 8, 1932 to Donald and Kathryn (Volz) Shafer in Falls City, Nebraska. After finishing high school, she moved to Wichita, KS to work at Boeing, and later became the lead inspector for Boeing’s B52 Bomber program.

One day while waiting for a bus for work, she met the love of her life, Archie E. Price. They married September 13, 1952 and raised two children, Everett and LaDonna. After Archie retired, they moved to Grove, OK in 1987. She enjoyed spoiling her first and only grandson, Chad. She also enjoyed church and senior center activities, bowling, square dancing, sewing, baking and gardening.

She is preceded in death by her parents Donald and Kathryn Shafer, brother Willard L. Shafer, sister-in-law Betty (White) Shafer, brother and sister-in-law, Leon and Dee Price, brother-in-law Clifford Price.

Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Archie E. Price, son Everett (Michelle) Price, daughter LaDonna (Dave) Dunagan, grandson Chad (Kati) Price, great-grandchildren Tatum and Chad E. Price Jr., and many extended family members whom she loved dearly.

She will be truly missed, and a celebrating of her life will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, September 27, 2021 at First United Methodist Church of Grove, 1005 Leisure Road in Grove, OK 74344. The service will also be streamed live via the church’s Facebook page.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with First United Methodist Church of Grove Care Ministries in Donna’s memorial. We are forever thankful for everyone’s prayers and support.
