Dorothea Buchanan

ARNOLD MOORE & NEEKAMP FUNERAL HOME, BARTLESVILLE, OK - Dorothea Maxine Buchanan, 88, of Bartlesville, OK, died Thursday afternoon, March 13, 2014 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Dorothea was born July 19, 1925 at Summit, Kansas to Frank H. Leonard and Quenettea U. (Stodolmon) Leonard. She grew up and received her education in Sedan, Kansas. Dorothea first married James Lea. Mr. Lea preceded his wife in death. She would later marry Tom Buchanan and he also preceded Dorothea in death. She was a sales clerk for Sullivan's Clothing for several years. Dorothea had attended Bartlesville's First Baptist Church. Dorothea enjoyed being active in church, working in the children's department at Sullivan's and talking to people. Survivors include a son, Jimmie L. Lea of Vernon, Alabama and three grandchildren, Robin Hathcock, Tony Hackney and Mike Lea and a brother-in-law, Jack Lea of Hobart, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands and two brothers, Junior Martin and Leon Martin and a sister, Imogene Leonard.
