Douglas was born on July 24, 1954, in Wichita, KS, to Raymond Joseph and Anna Marie (McClelland) Herrman. He married Valerie (Bush) on August 26, 1973, in Wichita, KS. He worked as a mason and contractor. Douglas enjoyed fishing. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Anna Herrman and two brothers, Thomas Herrman and Jerry Herrman. He is survived by his wife wife Valerie, of the home; five children, Crystal and husband Steve Espinosa of Derby, KS, Justin and wife Michelle Herrman of Galena, MO, Anna Herrman of Grove, OK, Daniel Herrman of Wichita, KS, and Adam Herrman; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; four siblings, Mike and wife Kathy Herrman of Haysville, KS, Steve and wife Tina Herrman of Wichita, KS, Kay and husband David Logan of Wichita, KS, and Connie Young of Ft. Worth, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, OK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wichita Childrens's Home in Wichita, KS.
