Earnest Floyd Martin was born January 23, 1932 in Foyil, OK to Emmit and Reva (Young) Martin. He departed this life December 20, 2019 at his home in Bernice, OK at the age of 87. Floyd graduated Alluwe High School in 1952, married Joan Denton, his first wife of 50 years. From their union came a daughter, Delicia Ann. He enjoyed meeting people as a member of the Shriners and Freemasons and during his career in sales with Guy’s Potato Chips. After retiring from Guy’s, he and Joan traveled most of the U.S. researching genealogy until she became ill and preceded him in death in 2002.
Floyd was a member of the Afton First Christian Church, where he met his current wife, Glenda Myers. They were married in July 2004.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Martin; his daughter, Delicia Ann and husband Neal Hoadley of Asheville, NC; a sister and two brothers, Wilma Johnston of Nowata, OK, Kenneth Martin of Woodward, OK, and Dale Martin of Nowata, OK; two granddaughters, one great granddaughter, and numerous other relatives.
