Edith Pauline Bailey, 86, of Nowata, went to be with our Lord on November 27, 2014 at St. John's Medical center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born August 23, 1928 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Robert Earl Parrish and Maudie Madge (Willis) Parrish. She grew up in Nowata and graduated from Nowata Schools. She resided in Leadville, Colorado, and later moved to Coffeyville, Kansas. While living in Coffeyville, Pauline was employed as secretary for Comet Mobile Homes, Krogers, and retired as a receptionist at Acme Foundry. Following retirement she was employed as secretary for the First Methodist Church in Nowata. She also owned and operated Cakes & More cake shop, along with her daughter Cecilia. Pauline loved being with her family and at every opportunity, spending time with her four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She showed them a "Grand" kind of love, that only she could. Pauline was very involved in her church, teaching Sunday School, serving on committees, visiting those that could not attend church and presenting the children's story during services. She showed God's love to all she met. She is survived by one son, Robert Bailey and wife Toni of Tahlequah, OK; one daughter, Cecilia Sutherlin of Nowata, OK; two brothers, Joe Parrish and wife Billie Jo of Abilene, TX and Buford Parrish and wife Marjorie, Midland, TX; one sister, Bertha Grover of Coffeyville, KS; five grandchildren, Lantz Elkins and Kim of Bartlesville, OK., Emily Pendergrass and husband Michael, Houston, TX., Kathryn Farris and husband Danny, Gainesville, VA., T.J. Sutherlin of Nowata, OK., and Jennifer Sutherlin, Bartlesville, OK; five great-grandchildren, Bailey Rose Pendergrass and Isaac Roe Pendergrass, Houston, TX., Seth Sutherlin, Bartlesville, OK., Grace Ellen Farris and Samuel Robert Farris, Gainesville, VA., four nieces, three nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maudie Parrish and her father Earl Parrish.
