Edward Barnhart

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, OK.....918-253-3222.....Edward "Ed" K. Barnhart, passed away in Tulsa, OK on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at the age of 63. Ed was born on January 17, 1951 in Jay, OK, the son of the late Raymond Barnhart and Orpha (Earp) Barnhart. Ed graduated from Jay High School in the mid 1960's. After graduation, Ed served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. Upon his honorable discharge, Ed started a construction company with his father. They worked together until 1999 when Ed joined the Operating Engineers Union and began in the pipeline industry. Ed married Deborah Barnes on December 16, 1977 in Miami, OK. Ed enjoyed going to and watching OU football but most of all he loved to be with his family especially his grandkids. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Carol Newby; and one brother-in-law Don Blagg. He is survived by his wife Deborah Barnhart of the home; one son Raymond "Keith" Barnhart and his wife Melissa of Jay, OK; one daughter Jacquelyn Barnhart of Jay, OK; two brothers: Phillip Barnhart and his wife Cathy of Grove, OK, and Thomas Dewayne Barnhart of Jay, OK; five sisters: Sherry Barnhart of Jay, OK, Vicky Culver and her husband Keith of Jay, OK, Katie Dunham and her husband Wayne of Jay, OK, Sara Blagg of Colcord, OK, and Michelle Woods and her husband Terry of Jay, OK; five grandchildren: Austin Barnhart, Raymond L. Barnhart, Olivia Barnhart, Kelton Barnhart, and Kodie Glenn; and a host of relatives and friends. Services will be held at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 11AM with Rev. Mark Sherrell, presiding. Cremation will follow the service. There will be public visitation on Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 1PM to 3PM at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, OK.
