Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma. 918-786-2261 Effie Leona (Cooper) Bowling, 92, of Grove, OK, went to be with her Heavenly father on May 9, 2016. Leona was born in Powell, Missouri on January 31, 1924 to Earl Cooper and Jewel Hendrix Cooper. On November 1940 she married David Leon Kropff, they had three children, Jerry Kropff and wife Madeline, of Afton, OK, Linda Gregory and husband William (Bill) of Grove, OK and Betty Wilmoth and husband Stanley of Fairland, OK. Later on January 1974, she married James (Jim) Bowling, in Independence, MO where they resided for 20 years before moving to Grove, OK. Jim had two children, Gary Bowling and wife Brenda of Bastrop, TC and daughter Janet Wooley and husband Tom of Rogers, AR. Leona was preceded in death by her parents and sister Ylene Boatwright of Grove, OK, David Kropff of Grove, OK and husband Jim Bowling of Grove, OK. Leona is survived by her children, and sisters, Evelene Lewis of Pineville, MO and Louise Jennings of Gentry, AR. She has 12 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family; she also enjoyed painting, crocheting and many other crafts. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Thursday, May 12th at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, OK. There will be graveside services Friday May 13th at 2:00 PM at her final resting place in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
