Luginbuel Funeral Home, Vinita, OK (918) 256-5555.....Elizabeth "Liz" A. Baker Stewart 85, of Vinita, OK passed away in Tulsa, OK on December 31, 2018. She was born in Tulsa, OK on October 16, 1933 to Ralph and Opal Keys.
Liz grew up most of her life around Spavinaw, OK. She married William Rex and has a lovely daughter Clara J. Rex before they divorced. Liz then married Brownie B. Baker and moved to Ketchum where they made a home for her daughter and stepchildren Carolean and Wayne Baker. After the children were grown, they made their home in Vinita. Brownie and Liz were married 37 years before his passing. She married Donald "Gene" Stewart who also preceded her in death. Liz worked at Ketchum Schools where she cooked for 6 years, after leaving there she continued her love of cooking at several jobs. She retired from Eastern State Hospital as a nurse's aide after 20 years, and retired from Wal-Mart after 15 years. Liz loved spending time with her children and grandchildren fishing, painting, and shopping. Cooking was her favorite thing to do for her family on birthdays and holidays. She loved being with her friends and family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include, daughter Clara J. Harrison and husband Tom of Vinita; stepsons Freddie Stewart and wife Pam of Spavinaw, OK, Mike Stewart of Adair, OK; granddaughter Tina G Harrison Lacey and husband Mike of Bella Vista, AR; half-brother Ralph Keys, Jr. of Kansas City, KS; several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step father; three husbands; step children Carolean Baker Hefley, Wayne Baker, Donna Christian and husband Buck; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A visitation will be held Monday, January 7, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00pm in the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 2:00pm in the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel with Tom and Mary McGlasson officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery, Vinita, OK.
