Elsie Jones

Elsie O. Jones, 92, of Ottawa County, Oklahoma, died Thursday, December 13, 2007 at her home. She was born on August 7, 1915 in Ottawa County, Oklahoma to Robert Hilliard and Norma May. On October 14, 1933 she married Glenn C. Jones at Ottawa County, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 1997. Elsie worked at Turkey Ford School and was a member of Council House Ladies Aide. She liked a good time and had a great sense of humor. Her main occupation was dairy farming. She was one of eleven children and is survived by one brother Clyde Hilliard and his wife Nadine of Grove, Oklahoma, sons: Jackie Glen Jones and wife Jerene and Clarence "Spike" Jones and wife Mary of Grove, Oklahoma, Daughter Glenna Smith and husband Jim of Claremore, Oklahoma, ten grandchildren, seventeen great- grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Elsie Jones will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at the Council House Friends Church in Grove, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Wyandotte Cemetery in Grove. Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 16, 2007 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma. Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Chapel of Grove, Oklahoma is in charge of arrangements.
