Elvin Barrier Jr.

Elvin S. Barrier Elvin Shadrick Barrier Jr., age 82 of Grove, OK, died Saturday October 10, 2009 in the Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, MO. The son of Elvin and Ethel Mae Matthews Barrier, he was born on January 21, 1927 in Little Chief, OK. He married Marion White on November 6, 1948 in Sherman TX. Elvin owned and operated Barrier's Electric in Tulsa from 1976 until he retired in 1983. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and rock hounding. He was a member of the Southern Hills Baptist Church in Tulsa. Surviving are His wife Marion Barrier of Grove. Two daughters Karen Wilson and husband Layton in Nashville, TN Linda Benson and husband Ed in Tulsa, Six grandsons and one granddaughter. Services will be at a later date.
