Eula Pauline Coker, 94, of Nowata passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Nowata Nursing Center. She was born March 21, 1918 in Talala to Naomi (Reed) and Sim Nicholson. She graduated from Nowata High School and spent most of her life in Nowata except for short stints in FT. Morgan, Colorado and Seminole, OK. Eula married Thomas Allen on March 15, 1941 in Nowata. He preceded her in death in 1994 and she later married Doug Coker. Mr. Coker would precede her in death in 2009. Eula was a member of Hillside Christian Church. She loved going to garage sales and enjoyed cooking. Eula is survived by two step children, Phyllis Madison and husband Wally of Grove, Les Coker; two sisters, Lucille Lumm of Nowata, Mary Lois Warren and husband Paul of Ocean Park, WA; one brother, Wayne Nicholson and wife Violet of Nowata. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sim and Naomi Nicholson; her first husband, Tom Allen; second husband, Doug Coker; a daughter, Norma Jean "Jeanie" Martin; four brothers, Albert Nicholson, Salul Nicholson, Howard Nicholson, Bill Nicholson; two sisters, Ruby Paul, Wilma Allen.
